In the coming months the European Parliament will be called upon to vote on the approval of the EU- Colombia/Peru FTA.

The most prominent experts on the current situation of Human Rights in Colombia will be present as well as key EU actors to discuss:

- The EU approach towards Colombia

- The situation of human rights in Colombia today

- The opportunity to foster Human Rights during the discussions on the FTA ratification

Foster debate on whether human rights benchmarks should set before the approval of the EU- Peru-Colombia FTA. If so, which benchmarks should be chosen?
